Woking & Sam Beare (Weybridge) Hospices
Woking & Sam Beare Hospices are registered charities providing specialist care, advice and support for people with life limiting illness in Surrey. Our Hospices in Woking and Weybridge provide in-patient care as well as a comprehensive support service for the family.
Other services we offer to our patients, that can also help family members, include counselling, chaplaincy and a range of complimentary therapies. We have a respite care service that enables carers to have a break and a MacMillan Nursing Outreach Team to support patients in their homes.
Our teams of over 600 volunteers ensure the smooth running of the Hospice. Woking Hospice is a registered charity. Our annual running costs are currently £4.6m with only small percentage of this provided by the Primary Care Trust. As all the services are provided free of charge, fundraising events and local support are vital to continue to provide the following services and facilities at each Hospice. We would like to thank you for the generous donations that you are making.
The British Heart Foundation
The British Heart Foundation is the nation's heart charity and we are totally committed to preventing people's lives being devastated by heart disease.
Every day, the BHF saves lives - by investing in pioneering research, supporting and caring for heart patients, campaigning for change and providing vital information to help people reduce their own risk of dying prematurely from a heart related disease.
The money raised for The BHF is going towards supporting our Child health education and the fight against child obesity, which is on the increase in the UK with more and more children facing risks of heart disease in later life. With Rhys's help we aim to educate children in the need and importance to stay healthy and active in childhood life as well as in adult life.
Together, we can beat heart disease, for those who live today and those who will live tomorrow.
